Biography

Mary Eurilla "Rilla" Mecham Rich Wilson; born August 10, 1898 in Garden City, Rich County, Utah; died July 3, 1989 in Boise, Ada County, Idaho; daughter of Luman Lehi Mecham and Mary Ann Hess; Eurilla (Rilla) graduated from the Paris Fielding Academy after learning how to be a school teacher; she was asked to teach for about one year; after that experience she met her first husband, Lavell Hyrum Rich, and got married on October 8, 1919; after having two children with him and one on the way, he died from complications after an appendicitus operation; she made a living in various ways with her family for about four years; after making a trip to Jackson, Wyoming, she met Joy Sylvester Wilson at a dance; after a short courtship they got married on December 4, 1929 in Logan, Utah; Joy took his new family home to his ranch in South Park, Jackson, Wyoming; they moved to Boise after she had two more sons with Joy
