John N. Weston (1916-1998) was a Union Pacific Railroad Engineer and amateur photographer from Utah.

John N. (Jack) Weston was born July 8, 1916 to John Henry and Metta Weston. He was raised primarily in Milford, Utah, with a few years spent in Cedar City. He attended college at the Branch Agricultural College (BAC), now known as Southern Utah University. He married Wilma Knell Spetember 1, 1939. He worked as a Union Pacific Railroad Engineer for 44 years, but took photographs as a hobby for his whole life. He died July 31, 1998.

The majority of the photographs were taken between 1896 and 1950, though there are 6 photographs of an accident that occurred in 1977.
