Biographical History

John N. Weston (1916-1998) was a Union Pacific Railroad Engineer and amateur photographer from Utah.

John N. (Jack) Weston was born July 8, 1916 to John Henry and Metta Weston. He was raised primarily in Milford, Utah, with a few years spent in Cedar City. He attended college at the Branch Agricultural College (BAC), now known as Southern Utah University. He married Wilma Knell Spetember 1, 1939. He worked as a Union Pacific Railroad Engineer for 44 years, but took photographs as a hobby for his whole life. He died July 31, 1998.

Scope and Contents This series is composed of pamphlets that were given to youth throughout the 1950s, addressing topics including standards and personal development. There is also a letter written by David O. McKay in reply to a Brigham Young University student in 1947, and a photocopy of a Brigham Young University Summer Universe dated July 1962.
