Biographical History
Hester Telle Richards (1872-1936) was the daughter of George Q. Cannon an apostle in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Hester Telle Cannon was born on February 16, 1872, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Quayle Cannon and Martha Telle. She married Daniel Brigham Hill Richards on September 3, 1902. Hester Telle Richards died on October 26, 1936, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Collection consists of photocopied pages from Richards' diary from 1891 to 1933, and a transcribed copy of Richards' diary of 1892.

Materials include Hester Telle Richards diary which she started in 1886 when she was eighteen and apparently living in Monroe, Utah and kept it in August and September of that year. Also included are miscellaneous notes and observations including class notes from a geography course. Dated 1886-1901.
Hester Telle Richards diary and correspondence
Collection includes a handwritten diary, letters, and miscellaneous items. The bulk of the diary was written from 1891 to 1893 prior to her marriage. The entries are lengthy and often introspective. The volume includes some later entries from 1932 to 1933 and some notes from 1980 in another hand. Also included is miscellaneous correspondence relating to business and family matters from 1932 and 1933.
