Thomas S. Monson (1927-2018) was the sixteenth president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving from 2008-2018.

Scope and Contents Contains Mark Philbrick's photographs of the Harold B. Lee Library groundbreaking ceremony at Brigham Young University Campus, which took place September 20, 1996. Included are photos of the journey to the groundbreaking ceremony, the entire ceremony, close-ups of the speakers and audience, the actual groundbreaking, and close-ups of the First Presidency and others with shovels in hand. There are also photos of a luncheon held in honor of the event, and Presidents Hinckley's address there....
