This collection consists of 10 leaves photocopied from the holograph of Kitchel's pocket journal concerning an interview with Oliver Cowdery, Sidney Rigdon, and Leman Copley. In his opinion, these Mormon leaders were misguided and infers that they were inspired by Satan.

Reuben Miller letter
Photocopy of a handwritten and initialed letter addressed to Henry Sabey of Mt. Knickerbocker, Illinois, and dated 16 Nov. 1848. Miller writes concerning conditions of the Mormons at Council Bluffs, Iowa, what they have heard about the Salt Lake Valley of Utah, and describes the baptism of Oliver Cowdery, an early leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who had been cut off years earlier.

Fred W. Schwendiman statement
Typewritten statement. Schwindiman writes concerning an observation made by Preston Nibley in the Mormon Church Archives relating aid given by Newell Knight to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery while they were translating the Book of Mormon.
Joseph Smith promissory note
Handwritten and signed promissory note dated 1 Sept. 1837 and written in Kirtland, Ohio. The note is made out to "Holbrook & Firme" in the amount of $287.05. The item was signed by Joseph Smith, Oliver Cowdery, Sidney Rigdon, Brigham Young, and twenty-eight other prominent Mormons.
