This subseries includes personal papers and items that were used and maintained by Dorothy Rhoads. Papers include financial records, catalogs and magazines, address books and calendars, childhood writings and papers, Rock Island phonebooks, college catalogs and information, and other personal items. The majority of the subseries is financial records, which consist of income tax files, bank records and checks, and other financial papers.

This series consists of papers concerning the Rhoads family. Papers include correspondence, diaries, and scrapbooks created by Franklin K., Fannie, Dorothy, and Frances Rhoads. Other papers include professional writings, notes and drafts of Dorothy Rhoads and newspaper clippings. Photographs of the Rhoads family, including Dorothy, Frances, Fannie, Franklin Rhoads, and extended family are also included.

Scope and Contents This subseries is composed of scrapbooks made by Dorothy, Frances, and Fannie Rhoads and Sarah Cook. Scrapbooks span several years, and include Dorothy and Frances' high school memories and papers, childhood drawings, and college experiences. Sarah Cook, Fannie's mother, made one scrapbook in 1881, and the last scrapbook was finished around 1916.
