Biographical History

Golden Lang (1920-1945) served in the United States Air Force in World War II.

Golden Lang was born November 21, 1920 to John Mickelsen Lang and Minnie Deseret Stevens. His mother died when he was two years old, and his father was unable to raise his four youngest children, so Golden lived with his half-sister Mary Ann until he enlisted in the Air Force. He married Lillie Foster in 1943, and had one daughter, Margaret. He was a lieutenant in the Air Force and a skilled pilot. He completed thirty missions in the war in Europe and returned to Tennessee to be an instructor where he died in a head-on collision with another plane on April 26, 1945. He was buried in the Cedar City, Utah cemetery.
