Biography

Eutimimo "Tim" Espinoza (1918-2012) was a WWII veteran and a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Eutimio "Tim" Espinoza was born December 10, 1918, in San Pablo, Colorado. A WWII veteran, Espinoza served in both the Pacific and European Theaters of Operation. He stormed Omaha Beach on D-Day 1944 and served in General Patton’s 3rd army until the end of the war in 1945. Wounded three times while in action, Espinoza was awarded the Purple Heart with two oak leaf clusters. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he served a full time, two year mission to the Dominican Republic and for the past twelve years leading up to his death, served as a missionary in the Church History Department. He married Pearl Vigil in 1949 and together they raised four children. Espinoza died July 4, 2012.
