Biography

Dorothy Vivia Hedquist Rowe (1919-1995) was a school librarian for the Alpine School District in northern Utah County, Utah.

Dorothy Vivia Hedquist Rowe was born on May 10, 1919, in Provo, Utah, to parents Alexander and Vivia Hedquist. She went on to marry Owen Berry Rowe on October 16, 1940, in Provo, Utah with whom she had five children. Dorothy earned a degree from Brigham Young University in 1939, and graduated with honors from Purdue University in 1969, with a masters in Library Science. Over the years, she lived in Provo, Utah; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Phoenix, Arizona. Hedquist Rowe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She passed away on November 7, 1995, in Saint George, Utah.
