Biographical History

Joseph Theodore Frederick Geisler (1914-1978) worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as an engineer and as a fireman for many years and lived in Ogden, Utah.

Joseph Theodore Frederick Geisler was born on February 1, 1914 in Bingham Canyon, Utah to Julius Teodore Geisler and Magdalene Catherine Jensen. He married his first wife, Virginia Kimball on May 15, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began to work for the Union Pacific Railroad on April 23, 1942 as a fireman, and eventually became an engineer. Joseph and Virginia got a divorce, and he remarried in 1939 to Gladys Pearl Mecham. He also became excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1950. He died on May 31, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
