Biographical History

Lucele K. Christiansen (1926-) was a Latter-day Saint missionary, social worker, and mother.

Lucele Kartchner was born to Alice Smith and Lafayette Shepherd Kartchner on November 4, 1926 in Snowflake, Arizona. Lucele moved with her family to various cities throughout Arizona during her childhood. She eventually moved to Provo, Utah to attend Brigham Young High School before attending Brigham Young University, where she graduated in 1948. Afterward, Lucele worked as a social worker for Apache county before serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States Mission. There, she met John R. Christiansen. They were married in Logan, Utah on September 18, 1951 and had five children together. Lucele moved around with her family before settling in Provo, Utah, and she served in various church positions throughout her life.

Lucele K. Christiansen currently resides in Provo, Utah.
