Biographical History

Jan Billings is a Brigham Young University alumna. After graduating in 1948, she briefly resided in Kansas City for 4 years, before returning to Provo, Utah. She has remained there ever since.

Jan Billings was born in Pasco Washington. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1948. While attending BYU, Billings became friends with Elder Oak's daughter Jenny. She also saw the effects of the attacks on Pearl Harbor on the university. After the war ended, she met and married her husband, a veteran who fought in the Philippines in World War Two. While the couple settled in Provo for the majority of their lives, there was a four-year period starting in 1954 in which they moved to Kansas City so her husband could attend dental school. In 1958, they returned to Provo, and raised their family there.
