Biographical History

Shirley R. Klein (1945- ) was a professor of family life in Utah.

Shirley R. Klein was born in 1945. Klein received her bachelor's at the University of Arizona in 1966, her master's at Brigham Young University in 1984, and her doctorate at the University of Utah in 1990. Before working as a professor, Klein taught economics at Canyon del Oro High School in Tucson, Arizona. Since becoming a professor, she has worked as an associate professor and as the chair of the Home and Family Living Department in the School of Family Life at Brigham Young University. Klein retired from BYU in 2009-10.
