Biographical History

Lu Jean Robinson Thornock (1927-2015) was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Idaho and Utah.

Lu Jean Robinson Thornock was born to Thomas Butler Robinson and Alzina Tryphena Lamoreaux Robinson in St. George, Utah on November 26, 1927. She married Dean Thornock in 1944 three weeks before he was deployed to the Philippines to build airstrips during World War II. She and Dean had six children and worked in various positions in the Grandview community including at the Grandway Drug Store, a Tupperware salesperson, and at Libby's. She also was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many callings. After 69 years of marriage, Dean died in 2014 and she shortly moved to Roy, Utah--where she died on December 11, 2015.

Each of these writings were written to LuJean (who lived in various locations including California, Idaho, and Montana) from his time in the Philippines during World War II.
