Biographical History

Edward Earle Swingle (1905-1957) was an executive secretary in California.

Edward Earle Swingle was born on February 14, 1905, to Albert Edward Swingle and Hallie Eliza Thatcher in Chicago, Illinois. After spending his childhood in Calumet City, Illinois, at the age of 25 he moved from Illinois to Los Angeles. In 1932 he met and married his Lorraine Kendrick, and they later had three children. He worked as an executive secretary at the University of California, Los Angeles. He and his family lived in Los Angeles and Inglewood. Swingle died of cancer on April 29, 1957, and was buried in San Pedro, California.
