Biographical History

Lorraine M. Swingle (1910-2001) was a resident of California and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lorraine Margaret Kendrick was born on October 12, 1910 to Thomas C. Kendrick and Lorinda M. Andersen in Salt Lake City, Utah. While working for Security Bank in Los Angeles in the 1930s, she met and soon married her husband Edward Earle Swingle and had three children with him: Kay, Richard, and Janet. After 24 years of marriage he died of cancer in 1957 while she was working for the Leland P. Reader Insurance Company in Beverly Hills. After her children grew up, she lived with her children and grandchildren until her death in Orem, Utah, on December 27, 2001.
