Biographical History

Joseph H. Todd (1934-) is a Mormon convert and retired educator from Ohio.

Joseph Hall Todd was born April 24, 1934 to Joseph Robertson Todd and Mary Elizabeth Neely. He went high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and attended college in Ohio. He eventually received a master's degree in clinical psychology from Ohio State University. In 1964 he took a position as a school psychologist in the Division of Special Education of the Ohio State Department of Education, eventually rising to be assistant director of the division.

In 1962 Todd married Jane Springsteen, and they had four children. However, in 1975 they divorced, and the following year he married Jane Holton in Columbus, Ohio. In 1981 the family began meeting with Mormon missionaries and were soon baptized. On April 8, 1983 Todd and his wife were sealed in the Washington D.C. Temple. After Todd's retirement from the Department of Education in 1995, they served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1996 to 1997 in Nassua, Bahamas. During this time they began an oral history project to document the development of the Church in the Bahamas. After their return, Todd served for ten years as a regional employment specialist for the Church.

In 2011 Joe and Julia Todd relocated to Washington State.
