Ray M. Hanchett (1918-1999) was a World War II veteran from Arizona.

Ray M. Hanchett was born on August 21, 1918 in Pima, Arizona to Ray M. Hanchett and Leola McFate. He married Romola (Mollie) Lunt on September 18, 1941 after serving a mission to the North Central States for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from May 1938 to June 1940. He served in the Navy during World War II from June 18, 1943 to August 7, 1945. Ray and Romola had five children. Ray later became a Patriarch for the Church. Ray died on June 18, 1999 in Mesa, Arizona.
