Jean Pierre Stalle (1803-1856) was a convert and pioneer.

Jean Pierre Stalle was born December 25, 1803 in Angrogne, Torino, Piedmont, Italy to parents Jean and Madeleine Meille Stalle. He grew up in Italy until he moved to America to trek west with the Mormon pioneers.

He married Marie Rivoire on August 20, 1829 and together they had one child. He then married Madeleine Gardiol on May 14, 1834 and they had one child. His final wife was Jeanne Marie Gaudin-Moise who he married on May 11, 1836. Together they had four children.

Jean Pierre passed away on August 17, 1856 in Sweetwater, Wyoming while stopped at Fort Bridger along the Mormon Trail. He was buried alongside the Platte River in Sweetwater.

Collection contains the history of John Pierre Stalle and his descendants. A pedigree chart is included as well as an account of his life in Italy and his experiences there as he searched for religious freedom. It relates his journey to America with the Mormon pioneers. Also included is the story of his visitations to present day descendants and their search to discover their ancestors.
