Biographical History

Elda Marie Shreiber Hill (1916-2004) was a trained nurse who served in the Navy in World War II.

Elda Marie Shreiber was born November 9, 1916 to Alfred and Helen Lucinda Smith Shreiber. She attended Coplay School Elementary and High School and later the Temple University School of Nursing. Elda served as a nurse in the Navy W.A.V.E.S. (Navy Women's Reserve) during World War Two from 1942 to 1946. The highest rank she received was the rank of Lieutenant. She married Kenneth Thomas Hill on June 18, 1946. Together they had two children, Ken and Barbara Joyce.

Elda Hill passed away on January 17, 2004.
