Biographical History

Roger Lowell Clawson (1938- ) served in the Marine Core during the Vietnam War. He worked as the manager of softwar development for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Roger Lowell Clawson was born on June 16, 1938 in Price, Utah. He served as a marine in the Vietnam War. During the war he was called as a group leader for an Church group and also had the chance to teach another service man about the church. That man was baptized in Vietnam. His experiences in the war led, in many ways, to disillusionment, but through a faith-building experience while praying he was able to come to terms with his situation and past. He married Carolyn Kay Ostergaard on June 9, 1960.
