Biographical

L. A. Scott-Elliott (approximately 1860-1940) was an English adventurer and sheep and cattle rancher, who lived in the western United States.

L. A. Scott-Elliott was an Englishman who appeared in Utah around 1880. He ran the Big Springs Ranch in Carbon County, Utah, for about 15 years, until he was legislated out of water, a depression decreased his sales base, his wife died, and he quit the ranching business. He later sold the Ranch at a sheriff’s sale for only $10,000 for his 2,560 acres.

His later years are the thing of rumors and legends - no sure date of birth or death are known.
