Biographical History

Austin George Hunt (1907-2006) was a teacher in Utah and California.

Austin George Hunt was born in Bunkerville, Nevada, on July 6, 1907. Hunt served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kentucky. While attending Dixie College, he met Mildred Tobler and they got married on May 30, 1935 in Washington, Utah. Together they had ten children. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Hunt and his family moved to Sacramento, California where he worked as a principal for many schools. After receiving a master's degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1950, Hunt worked as a superintendent for Center School District.

In addition to a successful career, Austin enjoyed raising a large family and devoting his time and service in various callings to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including serving as Stake Patriarch. He died on October 8, 2006.
