Biographical History

Thomas Moulton (1810-1892) was a pioneer for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Heber, Utah.

Thomas Moulton was born on November 10, 1810, in Irchester, Northamptonsire, England, to parents William and Sarah Hawn Moulton. He married Esther Marsh on October 1833, and together they had 2 children before she died. Then he married Sarah Denton in April 1840, and together they had ten more children. The Moultons were baptized in to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 20, 1841, in England. Then in 1856 they immigrated to Utah, crossing the plains with the Willie Handcart Company. After Sara's death in 1860, Thomas lived with his oldest son, John, farming the Heber Valley, and helping to develop the area. Moulton died on April 17, 1892, in Heber, Utah.
