Biographical History

Nelma Jean Jones Hawkins (1926-2009) was a stay-at-home mother and wife, supporting her husband and rasing their five children.

Nelma Jean Jones Hawkins was born on December 7, 1926 to T. William and La Von Hendrichsen Jones. She grew up in Provo, Utah, and attended Provo High School and then Brigham Young University. On September 11, 1946, she married Carl Stolworthy Hawkins. They had five children. They lived in Chicago and Michigan for many years, then returned to Utah. As a young adult, she worked at Ahlander's Hardware and as a secretary at Montgomery Ward headquarters. She later became a stay-at-home mother and wife. She died on July 31, 2009 and was buried in Orem, Utah.
