Biographical History

Donald Q. Cannon (1936- ) was a religion professor at Brigham Young University.

Donald Q. Cannon was born on December 24, 1936, to Quayle Jr. and Fay Allred Cannon. Cannon served as a North Germany full-time missionary from 1957-1959 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He is married to JoAnn McGinnis and they have six children. Cannon became a part of the Church History and Doctrine Faculty at Brigham Young University in 1973 and retired from Brigham Young University in 2007.

Contains one typed manuscript of the book Latter-day Prophets and the Constitution, which was edited by Donald Q. Cannon. The book is the seventh volume in the Religious Studies Center Specialized Monograph Series. It contains statements made by each of the prophets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints up to 1991, when it was published. Dated March 1989.
