Biographical History

Kent H. McKnight (1921-1999) was a mycologist who served as chair of the Brigham Young University Department of Botany.

Kent H. McKnight was born April 21, 1921 to parents Harrison and Eva G. McKnight. He married Vera McKnight on March 18, 1948. Vera often provided technical illustrations for his research. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan and served as a professor of botany at Brigham Young University. He served as chair of the Department of Botany from 1958-1960. Kent H. McKnight died on March 17, 1999.
