Biographical History

David B. Magleby (born 1949) is a professor of political science in Utah.

David Blyth Magleby is a former dean of the College of Family, Home, and Social Sciences at Brigham Young University (BYU). He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1980. He had taught at the University of California, Santa Cruz and the University of Virginia prior to his appointment at BYU in 1981. He teaches courses in American government and voting, and was the founding director of the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy. Magleby is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
