Collection includes 79 questionnaires concerning policies and procedures followed in United States' state historical societies and university libraries in regard to their manuscript collections. Collection includes three prints of a photograph of a steam locomotive in Ashton, Idaho, originally taken on April 11, 1929. The train is covered with snow, having pushed its way through high snow drifts. The image also includes fourteen railroad workers, including Jesse Hammond (the donor's father) and Bill Drew (the engineer).
