Biographical History

David A. Hunt (1950-2019) was an academic administrator in Utah.

David Anthony Hunt was born on November 3, 1950 in Farmington, New Mexico to Wilbert Hunt and Goldie Selby. He was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a mission for the Church in Central America between 1969 and 1971. After his mission he studied at Brigham Young University and earned his bachelor's degree in 1977.

While at BYU he married Sharon Krieger in 1975, and they had seven children.

After graduation he worked as a manager at J.C. Penney's in Bountiful, Utah before returning to Provo to begin a career at BYU. During his time at the university he worked in Housing, Dining Services, Auxiliary Maintenance, and Support Services. He later served as Assistant Administrative Vice President for Student Auxiliary Services and then the BYU Store.

Hunt passed away on May 26, 2019 in Orem, Utah.
