Carolyn King Gorwill is a great-great-granddaughter of Thomas Owen King, Jr., who was instrumental in compiling A travelling ministry: the journals and letters of Thomas Owen King Jr. Latter-day Saint missionary 1860-1864.

Carolyn King Gorwill married Robert Hugh Gorwill. They have three children. Carolyn is the great-great-granddaughter of Thomas Owen King Jr. She lives in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
