Melinda Richards collection on Russian composers, 1984-1996 (born in Germany; lived in California, Utah, and Colorado; Richards served a mission in the Ukraine; graduated from BYU with two degrees; honors thesis received a superior rating and published in "Insight"; worked four years at Harvard; completed master’s programs at Middlebury College and Indiana University; currently the program director for Firefly Inc.)

Scope and Contents Collection was created as part of the research done by Melinda Richards for her honors thesis entitled, "Musical Life in Post-Soviet St. Petersburg as Seen Through Composer's Eyes," completed at Brigham Young University. The collection spans the dates 1984 to 1996 and contains pamphlets of Russian composers that include a brief biography and list of composer's main works, as well as audiotapes of composer interviews and music recordings.
