Biographical History

Millie Adelaide Peterson Callister (1886-1980) was a musician, homemaker, and secretary in Utah.

Millie Adelaide Peterson was born on September 22, 1886 in Scipio, Utah to Andreas and Adelaide Harriet Mathews Peterson. She studied at Brigham Young Academy with a major in music. While studying at BYA, Millie met Thomas Clark Callister, and they married on May 17, 1906 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Millie and Thomas had six children. Throughout her life Millie was a piano teacher, organist, homemaker, and secretary for her husband's telephone business. She was also named Mother of the Year. Millie died on December 10, 1980 in Fillmore, Utah.
