American Harp Journal, Summer 2010, p. 46-53 (b. 1923 in Michigan; mother played piano, harp, cello; lessons with Alberto Salvi; BA from Northwestern University; joined Sigma Alpha Iota and Chi Omega; member of Pi Kappa Lambda; went to Juilliard for a summer to study with Marcel Grandjany; got MA from Northwestern; published The Harp in 1950; Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 1946; taught at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the National College of Education, and Indiana State University; m. Philip Erbes in 1970; Philip d. 1971; Vice-President of the American Harp Society 1977-1980; retired early in 1988).
