Biographical History

The Harline Family, starting with Lloyd and Kay Swingle, are a family who originated in Southern California who, after their children moved to Utah, relocated themselves entirely to the Provo/Orem, Utah area.

The Harline family was established with the marriage of Lloyd and Kay Swingle in 1955. The family lived in the Southern California area. While Kay served as a stay-at-home mother raising their six children alongside Lloyd's other two children from a previous marriage, Lloyd graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor's in accounting as well as the University of Southern California with a bachelor's and master's in education. He worked as an educator and principal of elementary schools in the Clovis, California area until 1989. In 1992, after their children settled in the Provo/Orem, Utah area to attend Brigham Young University, Lloyd and Kay moved to Orem, Utah, where they lived until their deaths in 2014.
