Contains approximately 2,000 letters written between 1918 and 1985. Majority of letters are written by Robert John Evans, but other authors include his son, Robert Pugmire Evans, and his mother, Alice Hazel Stallings Evans. Other letters are written by family friends and include holiday and birthday cards. Subjects of the correspondence include religious missions, school and university work, and everyday experiences.
