The materials document Cannon's church service, writing, and family life. Includes audio and video recordings. Also includes materials created by D. James Cannon, mainly related to his personal life and church service. Materials date from between 1832 and 2003.

Margaret was a granddaughter of the Mormon Church leader George Q. Cannon and tells of her recollections of the man and his activities. She also tells about the Cannon family.

Collection includes a handwritten diary, letters, and miscellaneous items. The bulk of the diary was written from 1891 to 1893 prior to her marriage. The entries are lengthy and often introspective. The volume includes some later entries from 1932 to 1933 and some notes from 1980 in another hand. Also included is miscellaneous correspondence relating to business and family matters from 1932 and 1933.
