Administrative History

The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (1954-2013) was created to accredit teacher certification programs at U.S. colleges and universities. On July 1, 2013 the council merged with the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) to form the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.
