The School of Library and Information Sciences (1976-1993) was a graduate program at Brigham Young University.
The School of Library and Information Sciences was established by Brigham Young University in 1976. Organized with the intent to better train librarians for the university, the school educated students so that they could use their abilities for better efficiency areas such as learning resource centers, instructional media centers, libraries, and information centers. In 1993, the school was closed by the university.

Scope and Contents
Contains syllabi, course packs, notes and student papers. Three classes are prominently represented; they are LIS 513 selection and acquisition of materials, LIS 540 communication and information use among scholars and scientists, and LIS 696 library operations research.
