George S. and Algie E. Ballif papers
Personal and professional papers of Algie and George Ballif including news clippings, awards, certificates, notebooks, correspondence, pamphlets, and miscellaneous items. The bulk of the items are from the years 1960 to 1978. Many items concern George's legal career and Algie's work as a legislator.
John T. Bernhard bills and resolutions
Bills, resolutions, and letters from constituents. The items indicate how Bernhard voted on the various pieces of legislation. House bills which did not reach the state senate are not included. The collection is divided by years and legislative origin, and the materials are arranged in chronological order.
Sheldon Riser Brewster papers
Autobiographies, official correspondence, newspaper clippings, certificates, and miscellaneous items. These materials document the life and civic and church careers of Brewster. They include letters from prominent Utah politicians and newsletters Brewster sent to members of his ward who were in the U.S. military forces during World War II.

A memorial to Congress for the construction of a great national central railroad
Handwritten legislative motion passed by the Utah territorial legislature on 3 March 1852. The item was signed by Brigham Young (1801-1877), "governor;" Willard Richards (1804-1854), "Pres. of the Council;" and William W. Phelps (1792-1872), "Speaker of the House of Rep." The measure requests that the federal government build a railroad across the United States.
A memorial to Congress for the extension of the legislative to 90 days
Handwritten legislative appeal to the United States congress to extend a legislative session. The item was signed by Brigham Young (1801-1877), "Governor" ; Willard Richards (1804-1854), "President of the Council" ; and William W. Phelps (1792-1872), "speaker of the House of Rep." The item is dated 3 March 1852.
Willard Richards letter
One handwritten letter addressed to the U. S. House of Representatives. Richards wants the committee on petitions of Utah to meet the "Committee on the subject of memorializing the Secretary of War on regard to the exploration of a Route across the Western Desert."
George Albert Smith letter
Handwritten and signed letter addressed to Orson Pratt (1811-1881). Smith states that "An act to amend an act amendatory and supplementary to the Charter of St. George City Approved Feb. 21 1868" had been passed by the legislature of Utah Territory.
