The Department of Health Science (2002-2018) was an instructional unit at Brigham Young University. The unit taught courses in personal health, health education, and driver safety.

The Department of Health Science was established in 2002 in a renaming of the earlier Department of Health Sciences. This change did not include adjustments to curriculum. Initially part of the College of Health and Human Performance, the department was tranferred to the College of Life Sciences in 2009. In 2018 the unit was renamed the Department of Public Health.

Department chairs included Gordon B. Lindsay (2002-2004), Brad L. Neiger (2004-2009), Michael D. Barnes (2009-2015), and Carl L. Hanson (2015-2018).
