Administrative History

American Indian Services (est. 1981) is a non-profit public charity organization in Utah that promotes Native American educational opportunities.

American Indian Services was established by Dale Thomas Tingey after Brigham Young University disbanded the Institute of American Indian Services and Research. American Indian Services, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, aims to create programs and generate funding to assist Native Americans in receiving quality higher education while preserving and honoring their Native American heritage. American Indian Services annually offers thousands of college scholarships to Native American and has serviced members of over 300 different tribes.
