Administrative History

The Center for Business and Economic Research (1969-1988?) was research institute at Brigham Young University.

The Center for Business and Economic Research, later known as the Business and Economic Research Center, was formed on September 1, 1969. Its purpose was to give students real world business research experience by working with actual businesses. It also worked to identify research opportunities, allocate of research resources, and perform general research for School of Management. The center appears to have been discontinued by 1988.

Directors of the center included Merrill J. Bateman (1969-1971), Howard C. Nielson (1971-1980), Richard M. Oveson (1980-1981), Gene W. Dalton (1981-1983), and W. Burke Jackson (1983-1988?).
