Rept. of the Surgeon General of the Army, 1907-08 (act to increase the efficiency of the Medical Dept. of the U.S. Army, approved April 23, 1908, provides that the Medical Dept. should consist of a Medical Corps, Medical Reserve Corps, Hospital Corps, the nurse corps, and dental surgeons; immediately following act, officers in Medical Dept. were recommissioned in corresponding grade in Medical Corps)
