Administrative History

The Yerington Consolidated Copper Company (1907-approximately 1946) held fourteen claims in two groups known as the Copper King and Copper Deposit in Nevada.

The Yerington Consolidated Copper Company began business on February 11, 1907, under the laws of Utah, with their offices in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the mine office in Yerington, Lyon Co, Nevada. The company president was Frank J. Hagenbarth; with Windsor V. Rice, vice-president; and M.B. Johnson as the executive secretary. In Nevada, W. C. Orem was manager; J. W. Smith was the superintendent; and Samuel S. Arentz was the local manager. The mine was active between 1907 and 1946, except for a shut-down in 1920.
