Scorup-Sommerville Cattle Company
Administrative History
The Scorup-Sommerville Cattle Company was a cattle company in southeastern Utah that eventually sold their holdings to Redd Ranches.
The Scorup-Sommerville Cattle Company was started by John Albert Scorup and his brother Jim Scorup. The Scorup were originally from Salina, Utah, but eventually moved to Moab, Utah. The company was officially incorporated in 1926. The company ran over 10,000 head of cattle on 2 million acres. The articles of dissolution were filed by Charles Redd on January 13, 1966.
