Administrative History
The University Police is a law enforcement division of Brigham Young University. Previously known as Security/Police, they were renamed in 1982. The are responsible for protecting students, faculty, and staff, and for enforcing laws, rules, and regulations. The University Police have been administered by Robert W. Kelshaw (1982-2000), Larry A. Stott (2000-2018), and Chris Autry (2019- ).
