Administrative History

The Multimedia Unit in the Harold B. Lee Library (2005- ) produces audio-visual material for the library. The Multimedia Unit at the Harold B. Lee Library is responsible for the production of various types of visual media for the benefit of the library as well as special university projects. Services provided include lecture recording, broadcasting, and archiving as well as documentary production, disc authoring, and exhibition media. The Multimedia Unit was previously housed under the Public Services Division. In 2005 the Multimedia Unit was moved to the Promotions and Outreach Department at the creation of that department. Unit heads have included Michael Gee (2005-2007) and Michael Hill (2008- ).

Scope and Contents

Contains the DVDs and CD data discs of film shot by the Harold B. Lee Library multimedia unit from February 2012 and April 2013. The DVDs hold the final edited shoot that are accessible with the menu, while the CD data discs have each film segment individually accessible. Footage focuses on the Harold B. Lee Library, Brigham Young University campus and student events and life.
