Administrative History

The Department of Instructional Psychology and Technology (est. 1997) is an instructional unit at Brigham Young University.

The Department of Instructional Psychology and Technology was formed following the establishment of the David O. McKay School of Education. It is responsible for administering undergraduate and graduate courses in its subject area. Department chairs have included Paul F. Merrill (1997-2002), Russell T. Osguthorpe (2002-2004), and Andrew S. Gibbons (2004- ).
